Welcome to Mattishall
Mattishall is situated in the very heart of Norfolk, just 11 miles west of Norwich. It is the largest village in Breckland and one of the largest villages in Norfolk.
There are many facilities that serve this thriving and active community. Among these include: a primary school, doctors’ surgery, several churches, many clubs and societies, sports facilities, a variety of local shops, a café, an enterprise and training centre with gym and restaurant, and a pub.
The Parish Council
The Parish Council is made up of 9 councillors who represent the village on various matters. We are one of three tiers of local government: the others being Norfolk County Council and Breckland District Council.
We meet at 7 pm usually on the first Monday of the month at the Memorial Hall, South Green, Mattishall but due to the current situation with COVID-19 we are meeting virtually. Please see the agenda for joining details. The public is very welcome to attend our meetings.

Openreach and BDUK have announced more rural build locations and Mattishall is included in this list as an exchange-wide project. This means that as part of the natural rollout of FTTP with Norfolk County Council, Openreach will build to the premises fed from the Mattishall Exchange within the next 12 to 18 months.
If you are self-isolating and require help with shopping or picking up a prescription from the Mattishall Pharmacy, please contact Helen Brook of The Mattishall Volunteer Hub on 07940 764588. She is coordinating a number of volunteers. Also contact Helen if you are able to volunteer.
