Local Amenities
Ever wondered what the Parish Council is here to do? We're responsible for:
Play Area and Outdoor Gym
The play area is located on Dereham Road opposite the Post Office. The outdoor gym is just behind the play area and is accessed via the carpark.
We ask that children play football on the nearby village green, rather than at the play area/gym areas.

Allotments
There are 23 allotments located in a central village location (behind the Swan pub on Burgh Lane).
If you are interested in an allotment, please contact the Clerk.
All Saints Churchyard and Burgh Lane Cemetery
We are responsible for the maintenance of these areas: All Saints Churchyard, Burgh Lane Cemetery and the Memorial Garden.
Details of fees charged by the Parish Council for burials and memorials are published on this site.

Village Green
The Parish Council is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the Village Green, including grass cutting, tree maintenance, maintenance of the community defibrillator (in the phone box) and upkeep of the war memorial and table tennis table.
General Maintenance
The Parish Council is responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of the village. If you would like to report any issues, please contact the Clerk.
Maintenance of the roads, for example dealing with potholes, is the responsibility of the County Council Highways Department. Please report any issues to the Clerk or report potholes directly via Norfolk County Council's online reporting.

Defibrillator
Mattishall Village Green, Dereham Thanks to a grant from Tesco Bags of Help, the red phone box (previously located on Burgh Lane) has been renovated and moved to the Village Green (directly opposite the Pharmacy/Surgery). A defibrillator has been installed for community use.
